I greet you and bless you,

I have the honor of confirming to you, by the present letter, the sending, this day, of a telegram from the Rebbe Shlita*, whose text is as follows:

"According to my observation, from here, of public opinion and to the full extent of the knowledge I may have of the Holy Land, as well as according to my firm opinion, it is indispensable to form, for the elections, a united front of all the religious parties, even if concessions must result from this for them. In fact, in my view, there is no reason to fear this. And, it is indispensable to lift all conditions that could prevent the formation of this front. I have good hope that you will take advantage of the final hours (note 2: Before these elections) to achieve this. With the fitting determination, I am sure that you will manage to overcome all the difficulties in this matter. With my respects and my blessing,

אתכבד לאשר בזה כי נשלחה היום מברקה לכ' מטעם כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א, וז"ל:

כפי ראותי דעת הציבור כאן וכמיטב ידיעותי מאה"ק ולדעתי מוחלטת אני, מוכרחת הקמת חזית מאוחדת לבחירות מכל המפלגות הדתיות, ואפילו אם קשור באיזה ויתור בענין מפלגתי, אף שלדעתי אין לחשוש לזה, וכל תנאים להקמת החזית שעלולים לעכבה, מוכרח לבטלם, ותקותי חזקה שכבודו ינצל השעות האחרונות לגשם הדבר, ובודאי שבתוקף המתאים יש בידו להתגבר על המכשולים שבזה. בכבוד ובברכה.
