To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Shmuel (note 1: Rav D. Sh. Zalmanov. See, regarding him, letter no. 7870),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 24 Tammuz*. I thank you for the good news you communicate to me, the improvement of the state of health of your wife. May Hashem grant that you go from the good to the better, especially since you have formed receptacles by following the ways of nature. In this manner, a supernatural success will be revealed through nature.

I am satisfied with what you write to me concerning your daughter Basya, who wishes to obtain a position in the schools of the network (note 2: Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch* in the Holy Land). No doubt she will be encouraged in this positive and entirely justified desire. Indeed, work within an institution of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, especially in the domain of education based on sacred values, is the channel and the receptacle for obtaining the blessings of Hashem, in general, those that allow one to build a Jewish home, based on the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, in particular. Indeed, one trains students, one prepares them for this objective. Now, Hashem acts "measure for measure" (note 3: In the manner in which one acts toward Him). It is therefore quite evident, if the only free position is in another city, that one must not see in this an obstacle. May Hashem grant that she find, among the Chassidim*, a match that will be good for her, both materially and spiritually.

You ask me about the Tzedakah* of the three hundred and fifty-four (note 4: The contribution to Tzedakah that is given once a year in accordance with the number of days of the year. See, on this subject, the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 2, page 652, and letter no. 5133). It must indeed be entrusted to the administration of the network (note 2). No doubt you will communicate here the names of the donors and the amounts, which will be mentioned near the holy tomb (note 5: Of the Previous Rebbe). With my blessing for giving good news of all of this,

במענה על מכתבו מכ"ד תמוז, הנה ת"ח על הבשו"ט מהטבת מצב בריאות זוגתו תחי' ויה"ר שילך פון גוט צו נאך בעסער, ובפרט שעשו כלים גם בטבע ובמילא תומשך ההצלחה למעלה מן הטבע בטבע.

נהניתי ממ"ש אודות בתו חי' בתי' תחי' שרוצה לקבל משרה בבתי ספר הרשת.

ובודאי יחזקו אותה ברצון הטוב זה והכי נכון, כי עבודה במוסד של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע ובפרט במקצוע החינוך על טהרת הקדש - הרי זה צנור וכלי לקבלת ברכות השי"ת בכלל, ובפרט לבנין בית בישראל על יסודי התורה והמצוה, כיון שמכינים תלמידים-ות דבית הספר ומכשירים אותם לזה ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה, ומזה מובן וגם פשוט, שאם גם תהי' משרה פנוי' רק מחוץ לעיר - אין זה צריך להיות מניעה. והשי"ת ימציא לה זיווגה הטוב לפני' בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד ומבין אנ"ש.

במה ששואל לצדקת שנ"ד, יש להכניסה להנהלת הרשת. ובטח יודיעו לכאן שמות מנדבים והסכום ויזכרו על הצין הק'.
