To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Yitzchak (note 1: Rav I. Gansburg. See, regarding him, letter no. 8042),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your express letter of 28 Menachem Av* and to those that preceded it.

A) You ask me whether you should approach the representatives of the parties within the municipality so that they support your requests. I am surprised by this question. This is, indeed, what has been practiced for several years in various domains of Chabad*, a movement that is not affiliated with any party. Of course, your school must not be linked to any party whatsoever, as I have written many times.

B) You describe the different conceptions for the recruitment of teachers, male and female. Here again, this is not your first year of operation. All the members of the administration of the network (note 2: Of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch* schools in the Holy Land) must therefore make the decision. As for everything that concerns the schools, each domain has a specialist. There is therefore no reason to impose the dictatorship of an individual, as is the case in several institutions and in various sectors, in the world.

C) Regarding the secretariat (note 3: A position that was being proposed to Rav Gansburg), I am surprised, once again, by your question on what is self-evident. The secretary is in charge of registrations and the dissemination of information. On the other hand, it is not indispensable that he personally participate in all delegations, meetings, and interventions with the various administrations. He can, indeed, obtain the necessary information from those who are in charge and write it up subsequently. Here again, such is the usage throughout the world.

D) Regarding your son Yosef Simcha, who will have long days and good years, you will consult a doctor who is your friend. If he gives his approval, he will be able to begin attending the Cheder*. Hashem will grant you, as well as your wife, the success of educating all your children to the Torah*, to the wedding canopy, and to good deeds. במענה על מכתבו הדחוף מכ"ח מנ"א והקודמים לו.

א) בשאלתם אם לפנות לנציגי המפלגות בעירי' כדי שיתמכו בבקשותיהם. הנה לפלא השאלה בזה, כי הרי נוהגים כך כמה שנים בענינים השונים של חב"ד שהם על מפלגתים, אף שמובן ופשוט שבית הספר שלהם צריך להיות מבלי כל זיקה מפלגתית איזה שתהי'. וכמו שכתבתי כ"פ.

ב) במ"ש אודות דיעות השונות ע"ד קבלת מורים-ות, הרי גם בזה לא השנה הראשונה היא בעינן זה. ועל כל חברי הנהלת הרשת להחליט, כי כמו בשארי עניני הנהלת מוסדות - יש לכל מקצוע מומחה בו, אבל אין הענין בדיקטטורה של יחיד- כמובן, וכנהוג בכמה מוסדות וענינים בעולם.

ג) בהנוגע לענין המזכירות שלו, הנה גם בזה תמה אני על שאלה בדבר הפשוט: אשר המזכיר ענינו לרשום ולהודיע על כל המתרחש, אבל אין מוכרח שהוא בעצמו ישתתף בכל המשלחות, הפגישות, הליכה למשרדים השונים כו' וכו'. והרי יכול לקבל הידיעות בזה מאלו שמתפקידם הוא ולכתוב. וגם זה הוא הנהוג ונוהג בכל העולם כולו.

ד) בהנוגע לבנו יוסף שמחה שליט"א, יתייעצו עם רופא מידידיהם ואם יסכים אזי יכול להתחיל לבקר בחדר, והשי"ת יצליחו עם זוגתו תחי' לגדל את כל ילידיהם שיחיו לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים.
