I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letters, the two of 20 Kislev* and that of the 30th, with what was enclosed. I thank you for the information you communicate to me regarding the Chassidic* gathering of 19 Kislev*. Regarding the places for which you cite only the main points, you will surely obtain, subsequently, more detailed news, which you will communicate to me, directly or through your emissaries. I thank you in advance. I was satisfied that the initiative was finally taken to organize the youth of the Chabad* association at Kfar Chabad*. In this way, one can hope that this will be lasting (note 1: Since the initiative was taken by those concerned, without being imposed upon them), as Chassidus* explains regarding the affirmation of our Sages that: "when the woman inseminates first, she gives birth to a boy" (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 7634). And since this organization has been established, I have good hope that, from time to time, they will be encouraged and strengthened, based on the experience already acquired through the actions undertaken until now.

For the sake of good order, I enclose a copy of the letter I addressed to the Chabad* association. Without a doubt, you already have knowledge of it. I read that through the Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav David Helman, a Tallis* and Tefillin* were transmitted to the one who had requested them. In the future, you will continue to fully satisfy the requests of Mr. Helman and you will receive, from the special appeal, an amount of one hundred pounds for the fund of Tzitzis*, Tefillin*, and Mezuzos*. You allude to the group of youth that continues its studies at Kiryat Shalom*. I am surprised by this, for this Rav wrote to me that he would take care of it and make efforts in this regard. I therefore do not understand that the recruitment of students and the results depend on them. It would be good to approach him and clarify the situation, then make a decision accordingly. It is clear that the youth of the Chabad* association cannot afford to spend one hundred pounds per month for a group of ten children in a place where there are many Rabbanim*, communal leaders, and synagogues.

I would like to know if you are in contact with the representative of Moshav Chofetz Chaim*. Indeed, several leaders from that place visited me some time ago and we parted on friendly terms. No doubt they still reside there. I now recall the following names: Messrs. Fefer, Kula, Gross, and Greizman. Perhaps they are not all at Chofetz Chaim*, but without a doubt some of them still live there. Of course, you have the possibility of telling them that you are conveying my greetings, in my name and at my request.

The special appeal will surely participate in the expenses incurred for the Chassidic* gatherings of 19 Kislev* and of the fifth light (note 3: Of Chanukah*), to the extent of three hundred pounds. It seems to me that I have already emphasized, on several occasions, that one must find means, and if necessary stratagems, to seize the opportunities to gather together, including after 19 Kislev*, for the purpose of strengthening Judaism and disseminating it. This is, indeed, the Rosh Hashanah* of Chassidus*, of its customs and its practices, of the Chassidic* ways. Now, Rosh Hashanah* (note 4: Which is the "head of the year" and not its "beginning") is the projection of the head toward all the limbs, which correspond to the days of the year. May Hashem therefore grant you success in all of this. With my blessing for success and awaiting your good news,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביהם, מכ' (ב' מכתבים) ול' כסלו, עם המוסגר בהם. ות"ח על הידיעות אודות ההתועדות די"ט כסלו, ובטח גם משאר המקומות שמזכירים אדותם רק ראשי פרקים - תגיענה ידיעות מפורטות יותר, אם מהם או משלוחיהם, ות"ח מראש.

נעם לי לראות אשר סו"ס נתעוררו לארגן גם צעירי אגו"ח בכפר חב"ד ובאתעדל"ת אשר אז יש לזה קיום יותר, וכמבואר בדא"ח בענין אשה מזרעת תחלה יולדת זכר.

ותקותי חזקה שלאחר התחלת הארגון יעוררו אותם מזמן לזמן ויחזקום בהתאם לנסיון שיש להם כבר בפעולותיהם עד עתה.

מפני הסדר מוסג"פ העתק מכתבי לאגו"ח, אשר בודאי כבר נודע להם מזה.

קראתי שנתנו טלית ותפילין באמצעות הוו"ח אי"א כו' מו"ה דוד שי' הלמן להדורש את זה, ובודאי גם להבא ימלאו בקשותיו של מר הלמן בכגון דא במילואן. ויקבלו ממגבית המיוחדת מאה לירות לקרן מצו"ת, היינו ציצית ותפילין ומזוזות.

במ"ש אודות קבוצת הנוער הלומדת בקרית שלום, הנה לפלא הדבר כיון שהרב...

שי' כתב לי [שיתעסק] בזה וישתדל בזה וכו', ולכן אינו מובן מה שהן ריכוש התלמידים והן ההוצאות, הכל על שכמם. וכדאי לדבר אתו ולברר המצב על בוריו, ובהתאם לזה להחליט. כי מובן, אשר צעירי אגו"ח אין ביכולתם להוציא מאה לירות לחודש על קבוצה של עשרה ילדים, ובמקום בו נמצאים כמה רבנים, עסקנים ציבורים, בתי כנסיות וכו'.

אתענין לדעת אם באים הם בדברים עם ב"כ המושב "חפץ חיים" - כיון שאחדים מהמנהיגים דשם ביקרו אצלי זה מזמן ונפרדנו בידידות. ובטח גם עתה דרים הם שם.

ומה שרשום בזכרוני עתה הוא: מר פעפער שי', קולה שי', גראס שי', גרייזמאן שי'. כנ"ל שאפשר שלא כולם מהדרים בחפץ חיים, אבל אחדים בטח דרים שם. ומובן שהרשות בידם לאמר שפורשים-שלום הם בשמי ושאלתי כהנ"ל.

להוצאות ההתועדות די"ט כסלו ונר חמישי ישתתפו בטח מגבית המיוחדת בשלש מאות לירות.

וכמדומה כבר עוררתי כ"פ, שיש למצוא דרכים וגם תחבולות לנצל הפגישות וההזדמנות שהתועדו יחד - גם על לאחר י"ט כסלו, בענינים של חיזוק היהדות והפצתה.

והרי זה ראש השנה לתורת החסידות והדרכותי' ומנהגי' ודרכי החסידים, שענין ראש השנה הוא להמשיך מהראש לכל האברים היינו לכל ימות השנה. והשי"ת יצליחם בכל האמור.
