By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of the day of the Hilloula* (note 1: Of the Previous Rebbe, the 10th of Shevat*), with the request for blessing that was enclosed and that will be read, at a propitious moment, near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. Furthermore, you speak to me about your sister, to whom Hashem will grant long days and good years (note 2: Who has difficulty finding a good match). It would be necessary for a large number of her friends and acquaintances to explain to her that when a match is proposed to her, she must seek the essential and therefore know how to determine what is merely secondary, in order to accord it a minor place, without importance. Indeed, Hashem alone is perfect, while creatures are not. You will know how to find the terms to explain all of this to her.

You do not detail to me your daily study program, but I wish to hope that this study is fixed in your soul, in addition to being established, in the fitting manner, in time. You will also study the teaching of Chassidus*, which is the soul of the Torah*. And this study will lead to action. You will therefore adopt its directives and its customs. May Hashem grant that regarding this as well, you give me good news. With my blessing for giving good news of all of this,

במענה על מכתב מיום ההילולא עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו שיקראו עת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקלל"ה נבג"מ זי"ע,

ומ"ש אודות אחותו... שתליט"א, צריך הי' להרבות עלי' ריעות וידידות שלה שישפיעו עלי' שבהצעת נכבדות תביט על העיקר ובמילא תבחין ותחליט שהטפל דטפל אינו תופס מקום. והרי אין שלם אלא אחד הוא השי"ת, משא"כ הנבראים, ובטח ימצא אותיות המתאימות איך להסביר את כל זה.

אינו מפרט סדרי לימודו היומי, אבל רוצה אני לקוות שיש לו קביעות נפש, נוסף על קביעות הנכונה בזמן, בלימוד תורת החסיודת נשמתא דאורייתא, ותלמוד זה מביא לידי מעשה, הליכה בהדרכותי' ומנהגי', ויה"ר שגם בזה יבשר טובות.
