I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 28 Iyar*. At a propitious moment, all those you mention will be mentioned near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. Furthermore, you speak to me about the unpleasantness caused to you by your neighbor. Nevertheless, in such a case, one can observe that the person wishing to cause harm, when she sees the futility of her words and her actions, is less desirous of pursuing this path, then she abandons it completely. In order that it be easier not to respond to the acts of a provocateur, one can meditate on the content of chapter 25 of Igeres HaKodesh*, of the Admur HaZaken* (note 1: Who explains that this slanderer could not formulate his words if such were not the will of Hashem).

I am surprised that you tell me nothing of your participation in the dissemination of the wellsprings (note 2: Of Chassidus*), in general, within the framework of the youth of the Chabad* association, in particular. No doubt you will complete all of this in your next letter. With my blessing,

במענה על מכתב מכ"ח אייר, בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקלהל"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ובמ"ש אודות האי נעימות הנגרמת ע"יה השכנה, רואים במוחש בענינים כמו אלו, שכאשר הרוצה לגרום עגמ"נ רואה שאין שמים לב לדבריו ולפעולותיו נתמעט אצלו החשק להמשיך בזה עד שעובר כליל, וכדי להקל על עצמו אי התגובה על פעלות המיצר, יש להתבונן בתוכן אגרת הקדש לרבנו הזקן סי' כ"ה.
