By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter, in which you repeat to me once again what you said in your previous correspondence. You received a response from me, but you ask me once again the same question. Now, in this regard, it has already been said, at the beginning of the second chapter of tractate Berachos*, that one must recite the Shema Yisrael* each day, at the beginning of the day, in order to submit to the yoke of the heavenly Kingship and to that of the Mitzvos*. And, you will also consult chapter 41 of the Tanya*. If you want my opinion, ask once more your teacher and the rector of your Yeshivah*. You will sincerely put their instructions into practice, with truth and submission. Thereupon, all the veils and all the supposed obstacles will disappear. In fact, these do not exist and there is merely a lack of will and submission.

Furthermore, you inform me of the proximity of your birthday and you wish to be a Jew animated by the fear of Hashem, a Chassid*. Now, free will is granted to each person and the strengths are bestowed to follow the path that is good and upright, as it is said: "And you shall choose life." Nevertheless, for your part, you must not use this free will to satisfy your own will, but rather that of the Holy One blessed be He, as it has been revealed by our Torah*, Torah* of life. And, one receives instructions in this matter from someone who has a broader knowledge of the Torah*, a deeper fear of Hashem. A Yeshivah* student obtains them from his spiritual guide. May Hashem grant that you have a year of success in the study of our holy Torah* and in the practice of its Mitzvos*, in the best manner. With my blessing,

במענה על מכתבו בו כותב עוד הפעם במה שכתב במכתבו הקודם ובקשר עם המענה שקבל ממני ושואל דעתי עוד הפעם בשאלה זו עצמה.

וכבר מלתו אמורה בריש פרק שני דברכות אשר המדובר שם בקריאת שמע שבה מצווים בכל יום ובתחלת היום שעלינו לקבל עול מלכות שמים עול מצות, וראה ג"כ תניא פרק מ"א, ואם לדעתי ישמע יציע עוד הפעם עניניו לפני הר"מ והר"י שלו, ויקיים הוראתם אליבא דנפשי' ואליבא דאמת ומתוך קבלת עול, ואז יבטלו כל ההעלמות והסתרים המדומים שאין להם מציאות אלא בהעדר הרצון דקבלת עול.

ולהודעתו מיום ההולדת שלו הבע"ל ומתברך להיות יהודי יר"ש וחסיד, הרי הבחירה ניתנה לכאו"א וגם הכחות שיוכלו ללכת בדרך הטוב והישר וכמ"ש ובחרת בחיים, אלא שמצדו הצריך להשתמש בכח בחירתו לא למלאות רצון עצמו אלא למלאות רצונו של הקב"ה שנתגלה בתורתנו תורת חיים ושמקבלים הוראות בזה ממי שגדול ממנו בתורה וביר"ש ותלמיד ישיבה מקבל הוראות אלו מהמשפיע שלו, ויהי רצון שתהי' שנת הצלחה אצלו בלימוד תורתנו הק' ובקיום מצותי' בהידור.
