I respond to your letter of 25 Tammuz*. It is judicious that you continue your studies of Shechitah*, since this is stated in the testament of your father (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 8095), but simultaneously, you will not abandon your agricultural activities for the time being, even if this has the consequence of prolonging your study of Shechitah*, until you are certain of succeeding in this study. Likewise, you will seek a person to whom you can entrust your plot of land at Kfar Chabad*, of course with the agreement of the committee of the Kfar*. With my blessing,

במענה על מכתבו מכ"ה תמוז. - נכון הדבר שימשיך בלימוד אומנות השו"ב, כיון שקשור זה בצוואת אביהם. ע"ה. אבל ביחד עם זה, לעת עתה לא יעזוב עניני החקלאות (אף אם עי"ז יתארך יותר זמן לימודו ואומנות השחיטה) עדי ידע ברור שמצליח בהלימוד. כן - בניחותא - יחפש אחרי איש המתאים למסור לו החלקה בכפר חב"ד, כמובן בהסכם ועד הכפר.
