To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to

communal needs, Rav Avraham Chanoch (note 1: Rav A. H. Glitsenstein. See, regarding him, letter no. 7340),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 16 and 21 Menachem Av*, with the press clipping and the "book of the election in the land of the election." It is surprising that complaints have reached here, according to which the visits and actions of the emissaries delegated to the Holy Land (note 2: Following the attack at Kfar Chabad*. See letters no. 8103, 8107, and 8108) are not at all sufficient. I am therefore astonished by the leaders of the youth of the Chabad* association. Why do they not take advantage of such a moment, which does not present itself every day? This is, however, quite evident. Of course, this is not about making a base publicity of it, but rather a communication that will be useful, in particular, for the dissemination of the wellsprings (note 3: Of Chassidus*) and even for everything concerning Judaism, in general.

You tell me that Mr. E. S. (note 4: Eliezer Steinman) wants to add a section (note 5: To his book Mishnas Chabad*. See, on this subject, letter no. 5000) and you have provided him with texts (note 6: Discourses of the Rebbe) that are not corrected (note 7: That are established from the notes of those present, without having been reviewed by the Rebbe). No doubt you will provide him, above all, with corrected texts and those will be merely a supplement. In fact, the corrected explanations are relatively numerous. There are, for example, those that appear in the currently published copies of the Kovetz Lubavitch* or those that were published thirteen or fourteen years ago, letters addressed to all or those, sent to individuals, that present specific content. There is also what was published in the Bitaon* (note 8: Bitaon Chabad*, the organ of the youth of the Chabad* association), the forewords of the pamphlets of 5710 and 5711 (note 9: 1950 and 1951), the indexes of the "book of the intermediate men" (note 10: The Tanya*) and many other texts besides. We await good news of this as well. Please acknowledge receipt of the present letter upon reception.

ולפלא שנתקבלו תלונות לכאן, אשר הפרסום ע"ד בקורי ופעולות השולחים שליט"א באה"ק ת"ו אינו מספיק כלל וכלל. והפלא הוא על כל הנהלת צעירי אגו"ח - איך אינם מנצלים הזדמנות זו, אשר לא בכל שעתא מתרחיש, וק"ל.

מובן שאין הכוונה כאן לפרסומת זולה - אלא פרסומת שתביא תועלת להפצת המעינות ביחוד ובעניני יהדות בכלל.

במ"ש אשר מר א.ש. שי' רוצה להוסיף מדור וכו', ונתן לו ההנחות בלתי מוגהנות- בודאי לכל לראש ימציא לו את ההנחות המוגהות ורק בתור הוספה הנחות הנ"ל. והרי גם הענינים המוגהים רבים הם לפי ערך, וכמו הנדפסים בקובצי ליובאוויטש דעתה והחוברות שהופיעו לפני י"ד י"ג שנה, מכתבים הכללים ומכתבים התוכנים לפרטים, מה שנדפס בבטאון, הקדמות הקונטרסים דשנת תש"י-א, המפתחות לסש"ב ועוד ועוד.

ונחכה לבשו"ט גם בזה.

בודאי יאשר קבלת מכתב זה תיכף לקבלתו.
