To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Meir Nosson (note 1: Rav M. N. Hopstein, of London),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of the eve of Shabbos*, which seems to indicate that you have settled well and that you have purchased a house. May Hashem grant that you succeed in bringing the members of your family there, at a good and fruitful moment, with breadth of spirit and in material abundance. In the place where you currently find yourself, you will redouble your ardor for everything concerning Judaism, in general, for the dissemination of the wellsprings of the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov*, until they reach the outside.

In accordance with your request, the name of Rav Moshe Deutsch will be mentioned near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, for the point you mention. But it is always necessary to establish a channel connecting the one who gives the blessing to the one who receives it. It would therefore be good for him to establish a fixed study of Chassidus* Chabad*, for which he gave of his own person, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, who will invoke for him the great divine mercy. Likewise, he will adopt, without making a vow of it, the three well-known studies, which bear upon the Chumash*, the Tehillim*, and the Tanya*. At the very least, he will do so in the future (note 2: If this is not already the case. See the preceding letter). May Hashem grant you the success of announcing good news of all of this. במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק, שכנראה מנו כבר הסתדר בענין קנין הבית, ויה"ר שיצליח ג"כ בהבאת ב"ב שי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, ומתוך הרחבת הדעת ופרנסה יוסיף אומץ במקומו עתה בעניני יהדות בכלל, ובהפצת מעינות תורת הבעש"ט עד שיגיעו גם חוצה.

כבקשתו יזכירו אתה רב משה דויטש שי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להענין אודותו כותב. וכיון שלכל דבר צ"ל צנור המקשר את המברך ומתברך - מהנכון שהנ"ל יקבע שיעור בלימוד תורת החסידות חב"ד עי' מסר נפשו כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר המעורר ר"ר, וכן שבלי נדר ישמור שלשת השיעורים הידועים בחומש תהלים ותניא עכ"פ מכאן ולהבא, והשי"ת יצליח את כ' לבשר טוב בכל האמור.
