I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter requesting a blessing, which will be read, at a propitious moment, near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. You also ask me about the removal of a cataract. In this case, the specialist says that you still retain a certain visual acuity and that there is therefore no reason to hasten to operate, that it is preferable not to intervene immediately. It suffices therefore to consult him from time to time and to ask him, each time, when it will be necessary to return to see him, so that he examines this eye. And He Who heals all flesh and performs wonders will guide you, in the best manner, toward a visible and tangible good.

I await good news of the content of your request for blessing, all the more so since we are in the month of Kislev*, that of miracles (note 2: In particular those of Chanukah*), of deliverance and of victory concerning Chabad* (note 3: In particular through the liberation of the Admur HaZaken* from the czarist prisons). In this matter, all the Chassidim* and all the students of the Yeshivah* are an integral part and receive an essential role. With my respects and my blessing,

במענה על המכתב פ"נ, שיקרא בעת הרצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה זי"ע.

בהנוגע לשאלתו: הסרת הקאטאראק, הרי כיון שרופא מומחה אמר שנמצא עוד מעט ראי' בעין ואין למהר בנתוח, שב ואל תעשה עדיף. אלא שמזמן לזמן מהנכון לבקר אצלו או לשאלו מראש מתי לבוא אליו עוד הפעם, בכדי שהוא יבחון את הענין. ורופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות ינחה אותם באופן היותר טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

ואחכה לבשו"ט לתוכן הפ"נ, ובפרט שהרי נמצאים אנו בחודש כסלו, חודש הניסים והגאולה ונצחון עניני חב"ד ואשר כל אנ"ש החסידים והתמימים שי' הם חלקי ועיקרי.
