By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter announcing your good decision, since "there is no good but Torah*," that of increasing the time you devote to the study of the Torah* of Hashem, of strengthening your fervor in prayer and of developing your study of Chassidus*. May He Who gives the Torah*, the Elokim* of life, strengthen your mind and your heart, so that you experience elevation in the domain of holiness, from one stage to the next, from one level to another, in accordance with the teaching of the Torah*. This is also the lesson delivered by the days of Chanukah*, which we have just lived, the necessity of addition, from day to day, in order to introduce a supplementary light that illuminates from sunset, that shines at the door of the house, toward the outside, including what is found outside, that is to say, the attitude one adopts throughout the day.

Now, nothing resists the will and it is in this regard that it is said: "If you make efforts, they will be crowned with success." May Hashem grant that you give me good news of all of this, that your parents and your teachers derive from you much true satisfaction, a Jewish, traditional, and Chassidic* satisfaction. נעם לי לקבל מכתבם אשר החליטו בטוב, אין טוב אלא תורה תמימה, להוסיף בקביעות עתים בתורת ה', בהתחזקות בעבודת התפלה, ולהוסיף גם בלימוד דא"ח.

ויהי רצון מנותן התורה אלקים חיים, לחזק מוחם ולבם להיות עולים בקודש מדרגא לדרגא ומחיל אל חיל, מתאים להוראת התורה, והרי זוהי ג"כ הוראת ימי החנוכה דאזלינן מנייהו, להיות מוסיף והולך מיום ליום, להוסיף אור המאיר משתשקע החמה ומאיר על פתח ביתו מבחוץ, גם בעניני חוץ, זאת אומרת בהנהגה כל היום כולו.

ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, כי גם על זה נאמר יגעת ומצאת.

ויה"ר שיבשרו טוב בכל האמור, והוריהם ומוריהם שיחיו ישבעו מהם רוב נחת אמיתי, הוא נחת יהודי מסורתי חסידותי.
