Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8127 — Prayer

Volume 21 · Letter 374

By the grace of Hashem,

5 Elul* 5717,

Brooklyn,

To Mr. Nosson Note (note 1: N. N. Holtsman, of Beer Yaakov*),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter, in which you speak to me of your effort to strengthen the holy Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Lod*, as well as Kfar Chabad*. May Hashem grant that this effort know great success, which is the greatest pleasure for the person who consents to it and who thus observes its positive fruits. This will multiply the blessings of Hashem in your needs. For long days and good years, you will continue to act in this matter, in much broader proportions, in accordance with the injunction of the Torah* according to which one experiences elevation in the domain of holiness.

Of course, it is good to make all of this known, for, by giving pleasure to a Jew, including when that person is on another continent (note 2: In this case, the Rebbe himself), one puts into practice the precept: "You shall love your fellow as yourself." Furthermore, one can observe, in practice, that knowing one will have to write to someone to describe one's good actions strengthens and multiplies them. One can indeed verify that this is so. You surely have knowledge of the practice consisting of reading Tehillim* according to their monthly division, each morning, after the prayer. If applicable, you will commit to doing so in the future. With my blessing to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

For the Rebbe Shlita*,

the secretary,
