To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Shaul Yissachar (note 1: Rav Sh. I. Bick. See, regarding him, letter no. 7675),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of the Parashah*: "And you shall be a blessing" (note 2: Parshas Lech Lecha*), as well as the one that preceded it. At a propitious moment, I will mention your name near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. May Hashem grant that you give me good news of your physical health and your moral health, the one depending on the other. You have had the merit, for a certain time, of teaching the Law to the people of Israel (note 3: Of directing a community and ruling on Halachah*), which means that you are capable of exerting an influence on others. You therefore cannot content yourself with discharging your obligation, as though you were a simple individual. You must influence all your surroundings, disseminate Judaism therein, in general, and the wellsprings (note 4: Of Chassidus*), in particular. For nothing resists the will. With my blessing for giving good news of all of this,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מסדר והי' ברכה והקודמו, ובעת רצון אזכירו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בעניני בריאות הגוף ובעניני בריאות הנשמה אשר הא בהא תליא, וזה שזכה להיות משך זמן מורה הוראה בישראל, ז.א. שחונן בכח השפעה על הזולת מובן שאי אפשר לו לצאת ידי חובתו כאיש פרטי עד שישפיע בכל סביבתו להפיץ שם עניני יהדות בכלל והמעינות ביחוד, אין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
