To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Chaim Zusya (note 1: Rav Ch. Z. Wilimovski. See, regarding him, letter no. 7879),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letters, that of 2 Kislev* and the one that preceded it, as well as your four requests for blessing, which will be read, at a propitious moment, near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. I learned indirectly that a youth meeting is being prepared at Kfar Chabad*, then a study day for Tzahal* and, subsequently, yet another large gathering. I am therefore very surprised that you do not say a word, in your letter, about the first two events. Indeed, in such a case, it is essential to have, sufficiently in advance (note 2: This expression is underlined by the Rebbe), a detailed program. As I have already written several times, the negligence in this matter and the engagement of preparations at the last minute have caused much harm until now and, moreover, they hinder the success that such gatherings can have, a success that is both material and spiritual. Moreover, several programs concerning Kfar Chabad* are already established at the present time. The proximity of hearts in this matter will therefore be particularly effective, including for external relations. This will retain a general formulation, but one will nevertheless remember this unity.

You ask me about the quarters and the commercial-purpose dwellings. For my part, I have asked that both be built. A merchant has settled and it is therefore good that he be able to remain in this framework. You also ask me for the addresses, in the Holy Land, of those who correspond with this place (note 3: With the Rebbe). These are in the possession of the youth of the Chabad* association, in Tel Aviv*, for it is through their intermediary that the good year wishes were sent to practically all these persons. Of course, you may show them the present letter so that they authorize you to copy them. On the other hand, it is clear that, in your correspondence regarding books, you must not mention the correspondence with this place (note 4: Not say that the initiative comes from the Rebbe). In fact, this would be totally useless. I await good and detailed news of all of this. You will also tell me that the object of the theft to which you allude has been found. With my blessing for a Chassidic* gathering that will be joyful and fruitful,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביו - מב' כסלו והקודם לו - וכן ד' הפ"נ שלו, שיקראו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ולפלא גדול, שכיון שנתקבלה ידיעה מן הצד אשר מתכוננים לעשות כנוס-נוער בכפר חב"ד, ולאחרי כן יום עיון מצה"ל ולאחרי כן - למחרתו - התועדות כללות, ובמכתבו אין מזכיר מלה ע"ד שני כנוסים הראשונים. כי ההכרח הוא - שסו"ס לענינים כאלו יעשו בעוד מועד תכנית מסודרה מראש. וכמו שכבר כתבתי כ"פ, שהרשלנות בזה, והתחלת-הכנות ברגע האחרון הביא נזק רב עד עתה, ועוד יותר - מונע מהצלחה האפשריות של ההתועדות והכנוסים, והצלחה בגשמיות והצלחה ברוחניות. ובפרט בשעה זו שכמה תכניות הקשורות בכפר חב"ד עומדות על הפרק, וקירוב הלבבות יועיל בזה כו"כ, ואפילו בנוגע יחסים הכללים - אף שבכלות, אבל זכרון הקירוב ישאר.

במ"ש אודות השכונים והבתים המקצועים, הנה מצדי בקשתי שיבנו הן הבתים המקצועים והן השכון. וכיון שנכנס בכלל בעל מקצוע - כדאי להשאר במסגרת זו.

במ"ש אודות הכתובות באה"ק ת"ו של אלו שמתכתבים לכאן, נמצאות הן בצעירי אגו"ח, אשר בת"א, כיון שעל ידם נשלחו ברכות השנה - שנשלח כמעט לכל אלו המתכתבים עם כאן. ומובן שיכול להראותם מכתבי זה בכדי שירשו לו להעתיק הכתובות. אבל מובן שבמכתבו ע"ד ספרים וכו' - אין להזכיר ע"ד ההתקשרות במכתבים לכאן. וגם אין כל נחיצות בזה.
