I greet you and bless you,

I received telephone information concerning the state of health of your daughter, Mrs. Kenya. At a propitious moment, I will mention her name near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, so that she may obtain the satisfaction of her needs. No doubt you will announce good news to me in this matter, of a visible and tangible good.

I have just received a letter from your son-in-law and your daughter, in Milan (note 3: Rav Gershon Mendel Garelik, whom the Rebbe had just delegated to Milan. See, regarding him, letter no. 6614). I read therein, with pleasure, the description of their stay in Paris, of what they did there, and, above all, of their state of mind, as one can discern between the lines. I have good hope that they will have considerable success in their mission and in its results. They will conceive from it a great moral satisfaction, the blessing of Hashem, and success, including in their personal concerns. Parents are linked to their children and this is the reason I write all of this to you, as well as to your wife. May Hashem grant that you derive from them and from all your children much true satisfaction, a Jewish satisfaction, with joy and enthusiasm, as well as immense success in your own actions, in the domain of Chabad*. With my blessing for a joyous Chanukah* and for giving good news,

קבלתי הידיעה התלפונית בהנוגע לבריאות בתו מרת קעניא תחי', ובעת רצון אזכירה על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך לה, ובטח יבשר טוב בזה, בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

ז"ע נתקבל מכתב מחתנו ובתו - שליט"א - ממילאן, ונהניתי במאד לקרות בו ר"פ משהותם ועניניהם בהיותם בפאריז, והעיקר מצב רוחם, כפי האפשרי לבחון מבין השיטים, ותקותי חזקה ביותר, שיצליחו בהצלחה מופלגה בדבר השליחות והתועלת, ומתוך ספוק נפשי גדול וברכת השי"ת והצלחתו, וגם בעניניהם הפרטים.

וע"פ ההתקשרות של הורים לבנים, הנני כותב עד"ז גם לכת"ר וזוגתו תחי', ויהי רצון שירוו מהם ומכל יו"ח שיחיו רוב נחת אמיתי, הוא נחת יהודי חסידותי מתוך שמחה וטוב לבב והצלחה גדולה בפעולותיהם הם בשטח חב"ד.
