To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and assumes a sacred

mission (note 1: That of teaching), Rav S. (note 2: Rav Shalom Edelman and his wife, who had departed, after their marriage, to Casablanca, Morocco, in order to assume the mission that the Rebbe had entrusted to them. See, regarding him, letter no. 6463) and his wife, Mrs. Gittel,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of the eve of Shabbos* and to your two telegrams. I have good hope that, upon receipt of the present letter, the state of health of Mrs. Edelman will be better, that it will continue to improve, and may Hashem grant that, very soon, she fully recover her strength. You will give me good news on this subject.

Your letter seems to indicate that you had not taken counsel with our friends, the Chassidim* of Casa (note 3: Casablanca), who have been there for several years already and know the physicians, as well as their competence. This is surprising, for friendship with the Chassidim* is important, including when one finds oneself in the best situation and, all the more so, when one needs a supplementary blessing from Hashem, Creator of the world Who directs it. I hope that at least in the future, this will improve and that all will go for the best. In this matter as well, I await good news. The merit of your participation in the mission entrusted by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of Israel, will surely protect you, in all of this, as quickly as possible. Awaiting your good news, I conclude by addressing you an immense blessing, material and spiritual,

תקותי הכי חזקה, אשר לעת קבלת מכתבי זה, כבר הוטב מצב הבריאות שלה, והולך וטוב, ויהי רצון שבקרוב תחזור לאיתנה לגמרי, ויבשרו טוב בזה.

ולפלא קצת, כי כנראה ממכתבו לא נתייעצו בכל הענין עם ידידנו אנ"ש שי' אשר בכאזא, שנמצאים שם זה כמה שנים, ומכירים הרופאים ומומחיותם. והרי הידידות עם אנ"ש חשובה ונוגעת אפילו כשנמצאים במצב הכי טוב, ועאכו"כ כשנזקקים לברכה נוספת מהשי"ת בורא עולם ומנהיגו. ותקותי שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא ישופר זה, ויהי' כל הנ"ל באופן הכי טוב, וגם בזה אחכה לבשו"ט.

וזכות התעסקותם בשליחות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל, בודאי שתעמוד להם בכל האמור, ובהקדם.
