By the grace of Hashem,
17 Elul* 5719,
Brooklyn,
To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to
communal needs, of multiple accomplishments,
Rav Shlomo (note 1: Rav S. Perrin, of London. See, regarding him, letter no. 7965),
I greet you and bless you,
I have duly received your letter of 12 Elul*, informing me of good news about the past days, the joyous Chassidic* gatherings, the reception of guests before the wedding in your home, then of the wedding itself. May Hashem grant that you be in a position to announce joyous news to me, always and every day, in tranquility, joy, and enthusiasm, in your communal accomplishments as in what concerns you personally, the one depending on the other. In these two domains, you will know elevation, from one stage to another, you will advance, you will add, and you will illuminate.
The strengthening in this matter will begin immediately, for we are in the favorable days of the month of Elul*, in Parshas Nitzavim*: "You all stand on this day." Now, the Admur HaZaken* specifies and explains, in the Likkutei Torah*, at the beginning of this Parashah*: "to be united, as one, to become the particular domain (note 2: Literally, 'the domain of the one') consecrated to His Unity." It is in this way that one reveals the blessings of Hashem in all domains. As we say three times per day (note 3: In each Amidah*): "Bless us, our Father," precisely when we are: "all as one." The Tanya* explains all of this in chapter 32. With my blessing for success in all that has just been said, for giving good news, as well as to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,
M. Schneerson,
