By the grace of Hashem,

To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, having

profound knowledge, good conduct, and

multiple accomplishments, Rav David (note 1: Rav D. Jungreis, of Yerushalayim*),

I greet you and bless you,

On the occasion of the new year, which approaches, for us and for all of Israel, for the good and for the blessing, I address you by the present letter, to you yourself and to all your family, my blessing that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually. With my deference, my respects, and my blessing,

N.B.: As a follow-up to your visit and our discussion, basing myself on the verse: "I am the companion of all those who fear You," I enclose a personal check, intended for the cause you spoke to me about when you were here. I also enclose a copy of my letter, which was addressed to all on the occasion of the new year (note 2: This is letter no. 7014), following upon that of the Shemitah*, which is a "Shabbos* for Hashem." Our Sages emphasize that the same expression was used regarding the Shabbos* of creation, when the night itself was luminous. May Hashem grant that we soon obtain the fulfillment of the promise according to which: "the night will illuminate like the day," with the coming of our righteous Moshiach*.
