Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8204 — Tzedakah

Volume 21 · Letter 451

By the grace of Hashem,

22 MarCheshvan* 5720,

Brooklyn,

To Mr. Daniel (note 1: Mr. D. Mayers, of Rotterdam),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 13 Cheshvan*, whose content has been transmitted to our office in Paris (note 2: Directed by Rav Binyamin Eliyahu Gorodetski. See, regarding him, letter no. 7809), which groups all our activities in Europe, including the founding and the direction of Yeshivos* and, more generally, of schools.

You tell me that you must take accounting examinations. Your name will therefore be mentioned, at a propitious moment, near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, so that you may succeed in them. Of course, your firm resolution to strengthen your practice of the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, to act daily, will be the path, the receptacle allowing one to obtain the blessings of Hashem. The more one consents to an effort in this matter, the more the blessings one receives from Hashem are important.

You are considering spending a summer in a Lubavitch Yeshivah*. You also speak to me of a young man who, recently, has not had good conduct. Now, he himself would wish to spend the summer months in a Yeshivah*. You will contact, for this, the Yeshivah* in which you have already been, that of Lod*. In this way, it will be easier for this young man. You have surely received, in its time, my response to your previous letter. With my blessing for giving good news,

For the Rebbe Shlita*,

the secretary,

E. Kwint,
