who is called Doctor Mantel (note 1: Of Ramat Gan. See, regarding him, letter no. 8411),

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of Isru Chag* (note 2: The day following the festival of Sukkos) and I was particularly satisfied to learn, at the beginning thereof, that you yourself, your wife and your son, visited Kfar Chabad*. May Hashem grant that, always and every day, you give me good news of what concerns you personally, which will strengthen the tranquility of your mind and your application to disseminating traditional Judaism in every place you can reach. Indeed, Hashem has granted you capacities in the matter and you must use them among the young. Every addition, concerning them, will be multiplied many times, when they build a Jewish home, this is quite evident. Your action in this direction, conducted with joy and firm determination, will multiply the success tenfold, as Chassidus* explains.

We have just lived the time of our joy (note 3: The festival of Sukkos) and Simchas Torah*, in particular, whose purpose (note 4: See Sefer HaSichos* 5750, volume 1, page 72, at note 18, as well as letters no. 8226, 8229, 8232, 8235 and 8538) is to draw joy for the entirety of the year. With my blessing to give good news of all that has just been said, both of your communal activities and of what concerns you personally, as well as with my respects,

נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מא"ח ובעיקר מהתחלת מכתבו שהוא וזוגתו ובנם שי' ביקרו בכפר חב"ד וכו'

ויהי רצון שתכה"י יבשר טוב בעניניהם הפרטים שעי"ז בודאי תתחזק מנוחת הנפש ושימת הלב לעניני הפצת היהדות המסורתית בכל מקום שידו מגעת, והרי חונן בכשרון בשטח זה ויכולת מיוחדת לנצל הכשרון בתוככי צעירים, שכל הוספה בהם הרי נכפלת פי כמה לכשיבנו בית בישראל, וק"ל. ופעולתו בהאמור מתוך שמחה ובטחון חזק כמבואר בתורת החסידות מוסיפים בהצלחה.

והרי ז"ע באנו מזמן שמחתנו ושמחת תורה בפרט שענינם להמשיך מהשמחה על כל השנה כולה.
