To the Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem, Rav Sh. [1],

I greet and bless you,

I received all your letters in their time, with the requests for brachos* that accompanied them. And I receive today your letter of Sunday evening. Please forgive me for the delay in this response. I am especially occupied, above all at this time, with preparations for publishing a kuntres* of the Rebbe Rashab for 20 Marcheshvan [2], with the kuntreisim published for 25 Cheshvan — which you will find enclosed — and for 19 Kislev, with the editing of the words said on Shabbos Bereishis [3] — which you have surely received in their time — and those of Shabbos Parshas Lech Lecha, which you will find enclosed. Obviously, you should not think that I hold anything against you, chas veshalom*.

You refer to the organization that existed under my father-in-law, the Rebbe [4]. I have already written to someone [5] that this requires me deep inner strengths, a potential capable of being revealed, along with the appropriate thoughts, speech, and actions.

I was pleased to see in your letter the names of the ten people you have succeeded in bringing closer [6]. Without making a vow, I will read them at the tziyun on the New Year of Chassidus — that is, 19 Kislev.

May Hashem grant that each of us receive, on this 19 Kislev, the blessings of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, as he expresses in his letter printed in the kuntres published for 19 Kislev 5710, and once again in the one appearing for this 19 Kislev.

With my blessing for success in your holy mission and that you derive much nachas* from all your children.

כל מכתביו עם הפ"נ המוסגרים בהם בעתם קבלתי והיום נתקבל גם מכתבו מאור ליום ב'. ואתו הסליחה על איחור המענה שלי, כי טרוד אני ביותר, ובפרט בזמנים אלו, מפני ההכנה לדפוס של קונטרס לכ' חשון (לאדמו"ר מהורש"ב נ"ע), לכ"ה חשון המוסג"פ והקונטרס לי"ט כסלו הבע"ל. וכן בהגהת הר"ד דשבת פ' בראשית אשר בטח קיבל במועדו, ושל שבת פ' לך המוסג"פ. ופשיטא שאין לו לתלות כלל וכלל באיזה ענין של קפידה ח"ו וכיו"ב.

בענין מה שכותב בהנוגע לסדר כמו שהי' אצל כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ כו' - הנה כבר כתבתי לאחד, שהרי לזה נצרך שיהיו אצלי כוחות עצמיים המתאימים לזה, וכן בנוגע לכוחות הגלויים, וכן בנוגע לג' הלבושים דמחדו"מ וכו'.

...נהניתי במאד בראותי במכתבו רשימת שמות המנין אשר פעל עליהם, ובל"נ אקראם על ציון הקדוש ביום ר"ה לדא"ח הוא י"ט כסלו הבע"ל, והשי"ת יזכנו, כל אחד מאתנו, להמשיך ולקבל ברכות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ לי"ט כסלו, כמו שנדפסו במכתבו בקונטרס י"ט כסלו ה'תש"י, אשר חוזר ונשנה עוה"פ בקונטרס י"ט כסלו הבע"ל.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתו בקודש ורוב נחת מכל יו"ח שי' - הפו"ש כל החבורה תי' בברכת החג,
