I greet you and bless you,

I read, with great surprise, your letter and your telegram informing me of your state of mind, which I have just received. And, you will understand my surprise, for you have personally observed evident miracles and wonders, of a visible and tangible good. And, my surprise is still more clearly underlined, because the last weeks bear the imprint of the month of Tishrei*, whose end and conclusion were Simchas Torah*, a joy overflowing all barriers, limits and hindrances. Moreover, the Halachah* specifies (note 1: See, on this subject, letter no. 8540) that Simchas Torah* extends until 7 Cheshvan*, according to the Sifsei Kohen*, Choshen Mishpat*, chapter 43, paragraph 47. And, after all of this, there is an Injunction (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 8224. The word "Injunction" is underlined by the Rebbe) to internalize this joy and what concerns it, in order to preserve it throughout the entire year.

As for what concerns you personally, as various texts establish and as can be deduced from what has just been said, you must, precisely, strengthen your trust in Hashem, Who heals all flesh and performs wonders, to the point of experiencing an evident joy, which is the channel and the receptacle allowing one to obtain the blessing of Hashem, so that the treatment have immense success, that it elicit a prompt and complete healing. I await, very soon, good news of all of this. With my blessing for good health and for giving this good news,

בתמהון גדול קורא הנני במכתב ומברק שנתקבל על דבר מצב רוחו, ומובנת הפליאה לאחרי שראה נסים ומופתים גלוים בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

ומודגשת הפליאה עוד יותר, שהרי שבועות האחרונות עומדים ברושם של חדש תשרי שסיומו וחותמו שמחת תורה, שמחה הפורצת כל גדר מדידה והגבלה, והרי גם נפסק הדין - שמחת תורה נמשכת עד ז' חשון (עיין ש"ך חו"מ סי' מ"ג ס"ק מ"ז) וגם לאחרי זה הרי הציווי לקחת מהשמחה ועניני' על כל השנה כולה.

בנוגע לענינו הוא, הרי מבואר בכ"מ ומובן גם ע"פ הנ"ל, שדוקא ההתחזקות בבטחון בהשי"ת הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות ועד לכדי שמחה גלוי' בזה, הם הן הצנור והכלי לקבלת ברכת השי"ת להצלחה גדולה של הטפול לרפואה קרובה ושלימה, ואחכה לבשו"ט בכל האמור בעגלא דידן.
