To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

of multiple accomplishments, Rav Meir (note 1: Rav M. Schwartzman, of Winnipeg. See, regarding him, letters no. 4966 and 8285),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of this Sunday, with what was enclosed therein. I thank you for having taken the trouble to address to me the proofs of your article on the festival of liberation (note 2: Of the Admur HaZaken, from the tsarist prisons) of 19 Kislev*, which is approaching, that of our deliverance and the freedom of our souls. In the terms of the Rebbe Rashab* (note 3: See his Igros Kodesh, volume 1, letter no. 110), "it is the festival on which He liberated our soul in peace, when the light and the vitality of our soul were granted to us. This day is the new year of the Chassidus* that our holy ancestors, whose merit will protect us, bequeathed to us. And, this is indeed the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov*, whose memory will be a blessing," as the HaYom Yom* reports, on page 4.

May Hashem therefore grant that, for many more years, you continue your dissemination of the wellsprings (note 4: Of Chassidus) to the outside, within the dissemination of Judaism, in general. You will do so in good health, with joy and enthusiasm, for your complete healing will be very near. With my respects and my blessing to give good news of all of this,

It is surprising that on pages 1 and 3 of your article, the name of the son and successor of the Tzemach Tzedek*, the Rebbe Maharash*, who was called Shmuel, does not appear. A brochure presenting the biography of the Rebbe Maharash* will therefore be addressed to you, independently.
