To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself

to communal needs, Rav Tuvya (note 1: Rav T. Blau, of Yerushalayim*. See, regarding him, letter no. 7427),

I greet you and bless you,

You ask me about the custom of the Chassidim* relative to the education of grandchildren. You will establish it from the elderly Chassidim* in your surroundings, for I have heard nothing particular on this subject, beyond what has been printed.

You will also tell me about the evening Yeshivah*, the students who came for this purpose from the Yeshivah* of Lod* and the Chabad* synagogue of the Pagi quarter. I thank you in advance for this. I read several articles by Rav Betzalel Landau, in the Machanayim* and I appreciated them. Likewise, his book on the Baal Shem Tov* deserves support and praise, although one does not find references therein.

The wedding of the Rebbe Rashab* (note 2: See, on this subject, the Chanoch LaNaar, page 10 and the Sefer HaToledos Admur Rashab, page 17) was celebrated, in conformity with Jewish custom, in the city of the bride, in Avrutch. Did the grandfather of the bride, the Tzaddik* and holy Rav Y. Y. of Cherkas participate? I have heard nothing on this subject.

A treatment based on the radiation of rays, especially for children and particularly for the youngest, must be envisaged only with the greatest precautions. If a physician experiences the slightest apprehension in the matter, it is better to abstain. And He Who heals all flesh will send His healing, in a visible and tangible good. At a propitious moment, all those you cite will be mentioned near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us.

... לשאלתו מנהגי אנ"ש בחינוך קטנים כו' - יברר אצל זקני אנ"ש שי' שבסביבתו, כי לא שמעתי במיוחד עד"ז (לבד המוזכר בכ"מ בהנדפסים).

ודאי יודיע ההמשך בעניני ישיה"ע, הת' שי' שנסעו ללוד, ביהכ"נ חב"די בשיכון פאגי וכו'. ות"ח מראש.

מאמרי ר' בצלאל שי' לנדוי שבמחנים קראתי כמה מהם ונהנתי. כן - ספרו ע"ד הבעש"ט (אף שחבל שאין בו מ"מ!!) וראוי לעידוד ושבח.

נישואי כ"ק אדמו"ר (מהורש"ב) נ"ע היו, כנהוג בישראל, במקום הורי הכלה באוורוטש. האם השתתף בהם זקן הכלה הרה"צ והרה"ק וכו' וכו' הררי"י מטשערקאס - לא שמעתי בזה.

טפול קרני "רדיום" בנוגע לקטנים בפרט, וביחוד בגיל רך ביותר - צריך זהירות יתרה. ובאם יש רופא חושש - אין לעשותו. והרופא כל בשר ישלח רפואתה באופן הטוב הנראה ונגלה.
