To the attention of the participants of the Chassidic* gathering and the

celebration of the Melaveh Malkah* of Parshas Chayei Sarah*,

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter, which was drafted during the Chassidic* gathering mentioned above. At a propitious moment, the names of the participants, according to the signatures, will be mentioned near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, so that each one obtain the satisfaction of his needs, material and spiritual.

Our Sages explain, in Midrash Bereishis Rabbah, at the beginning of this Parashah*, that: "they (note 1: The Patriarchs Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov) are wholehearted and their years are likewise." May Hashem therefore grant you the merit and the success of obtaining the satisfaction of the wishes of your heart, to the point of being wholehearted and perfect, both materially and spiritually. It will be so for long days and good years, as it is written: "I will fill the number of your days," in conformity with the explanation that the Admur HaZaken* gives of this verse, in the Torah Or*, at Parshas Mishpatim* and as was said during the Chassidic* gathering of this Shabbos Chayei (note 2: Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah), which blessed the month of Kislev*, that of miracles and of deliverance (note 3: In particular of the Admur HaZaken from the tsarist prisons, on 19 Kislev). ויומשך כן לאורך ימים ושנים טובות, וכמה שכתוב את מספר ימיך אמלא, וכפירוש רבנו הזקן על פסוק זה (תו"א פרשה משפטים),

וע"פ המבואר בהתועדות דש"ק חיי, ש"ק מברכים חדש כסלו, חדש הנסים והגאולה.
