Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8277 — Tzedakah
Volume 22 · Letter 60
By the grace of Hashem,
26 Kislev* 5722,
Brooklyn,
I bless you and greet you,
I respond (note 1: This letter is addressed to a woman) to your letter of the first day of Chanukah*. You solicit my counsel, because your husband wishes to change your current lodging (note 2: See, on this subject, letters no. 7523 and 8449), whereas you are opposed to this project, for personal reasons. In my opinion, since you have already communicated to your husband the reasons for which you do not wish this change, you will no longer concern yourself with all of this. Above all, you will not take things to heart, whatever may happen. For, in the end, a man does not know what is best (note 3: It is therefore conceivable that this move is indeed the right solution). You have already done all that depended on you (note 4: By expressing a position). From now on, you will therefore entrust yourself to Hashem, Who will grant that all be for the good. Indeed, Hashem protects each one and He grants him what he needs.
In the past, several events proved to be more favorable than what one imagined. May Hashem grant that it be the same in this case. With my blessing for a joyous Chanukah* and to give good news,
