To Rav Moshe Yechiel (note 1: Rav M. Y. Feller, of Minneapolis. See, regarding him, letter no. 8348) and to his wife, Mrs. Mindel,

I greet you and bless you,

Settle in peace in this city and know success in your sacred activities destined to disseminate Judaism, in general and the wellsprings (note 2: Of Chassidus*), in particular, by advancing, by adding and by illuminating, as has been explained many times. You will accomplish all of this with the appropriate enthusiasm, with joy and ardor.

As the Admur HaZaken*, author of the Tanya* and Decisor of the hidden part of the Torah*, author of the Shulchan Aruch* and Decisor of the revealed part of the Torah*, teaches, the Parashah* of this week: "And, Yaakov* lived in the land of Egypt for seventeen years" (note 3: See, on this subject, letters no. 7540, 8301 and 8302), shows how in Egypt, outside of Eretz Yisrael*, during the time of exile, being physically distant from the Yeshivah*, Yaakov* nonetheless succeeded in "living." Furthermore, this is the channel and the receptacle enabling one to receive the blessing of Hashem in one's personal concerns. With my blessing to give good news of all of this,

וע"פ הוראת רבנו הזקן בעל התניא - פוסק בנסתר דתורה - והשולחן ערוך - פוסק בנגלה דתורה - על פרשת שבוע זה,

"ויחי יעקב בארץ מצרים שבע עשרה שנה - אויך אין מצרים (בחו"ל ימי הגלות ובריחוק מקום גשמי מן הישיבה וכו') - איז געווען ויחי, געלעבט".

והרי זה גם צנור וכלי לקבלת ברכת השי"ת בענינים הפרטים.
