After a long interruption, I have duly received your letter of 8 Teves*, as well as the one that followed and I am particularly surprised by the lapse of time that passes between your letters. Indeed, my secretariat (note 1: See, on this subject, letter no. 8276), among others, must have emphasized to you the necessity of transmitting more frequently, right here, news and reports of the actions that have been carried out, at the very least by addressing them to this secretariat and by writing them briefly. First and foremost, it is important, here, that one have this information at one's disposal. Moreover, and this is no less important, this manner of proceeding has an impact on the activities, on the enthusiasm that is invested therein, as has been said and explained many times, including, it seems to me, in a letter that you yourself received.
Our Sages say (note 2: In tractate Berachos* 54a) that it is useless to complain about the past. May Hashem therefore grant that you organize yourself, in the future, to the full extent of what is necessary. Indeed, nothing resists the will. With my blessing to give good news,

לאחרי הפסק ארוך, נתקבל מכתבו מח' טבת, ולאחריו ולפלא גדול על ההפסק ממכתב אחד לשני, והרי בודאי עוררוהו מהמזכירות ועוד על גודל הענין שבעתים יותר תכופות תתקבלנה כאן ידיעות דו"ח מהפעולות - עכ"פ ע"ש המזכירות ועכ"פ בקיצור, ומלבד שזהו נוגע להענינים כאן, הנה במדה לא פחותה פועל זה על מהלך הפעולות המרץ שבהם וכו' וכמדובר וכמבואר בכו"כ פעמים, וכמדומה גם בהמכתב שקבל הוא.
וכיון שאמרו חז"ל אין צועקין על העבר יהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא יהי' מסודר ככל הדרוש. ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
