I bless you and greet you (note 1: This letter is addressed to a woman),

I respond to your letter of 21 Teves*, in which you mention the moment of the installation of the tombstone (note 2: This follows letter no. 8269). It is clear that there is no reason, as far as you are concerned, to engage in a dispute, which Heaven forfend, for the Torah* clearly forbids it. Moreover, according to what you write, the entire family, with the exception of yourself, is of the opinion that one should wait a year (note 3: To install this tombstone, whereas the custom of the Chassidim* consists of doing so at the conclusion of the seven days of mourning). You will therefore not oppose them.

In conformity with your request, the present letter is addressed to you bypassing the queue. With my blessing to give good news, in positive domains, in tranquility and enthusiasm,

ובודאי שאין זה ענין להכנס בשבילו למחלוקת ח"ו, דבר שאיסורו ברור מן התורה, ובפרט שככתבה כל המשפחה (לבדה) בדיעה אחת לחכות עד שנה ולא תתנגד לזה.

כבקשתה נשלח המכתב מבלי לחכות על התור.
