To the Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself faithfully to communal needs, Rav Yitzchak Aharon [1],

I greet and bless you,

I read with pleasure your letter in which you tell me that, in addition to the students attending the Lubavitch Yeshivah, there are 113 others who study in their homes [2], and that you have opened a cheder*. Next time, you will surely tell me that these achievements are developing, both quantitatively and qualitatively.

As you asked me, I read the list of students and their teachers when I was at the tziyun, on this day of the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus and its ways.

The Tzaddik who departs this world is present there more than during his lifetime. Without doubt, he will grant his blessing so that you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.

One may consider that, for Chassidim, this is indeed the gateway through which the Torah and mitzvos one fulfills receive elevation, and through which one obtains all material and spiritual blessings — as Iggeres HaKodesh explains in chapter 7, showing that each part of the soul possesses its specific light. Consult this text.

What has just been said allows one to understand the thread of my father-in-law the Rebbe's letter of 10 Kislev 5710, which is published in the kuntres issued for this 19 Kislev. Indeed, it begins by wishing a good year in the study and dissemination of Chassidus. Then immediately after, he writes: "You, and all who follow you, will be blessed in all your needs, material and spiritual."

בנועם קראתי מכתבו המודיע שלבד התלמידים הלומדים בת"ת הנה יש להם ג"כ קי"ג תלמידים שלומדים בבתיהם, ושפתחו חדר. ובטח יודיע בפעם השני' ע"ד התפתחות עבודתם זו, הן בכמות והן באיכות.

כבקשתו קראתי את רשימת התלמידים עם מוריהם בהיותי על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ היום בראש השנה לחסידות ודרכי החסידות. וצדיקא דאתפטר, דאשתכח בהאי עלמא יתיר מבחיוהי, בטח יתן ברכתו, לכתיבה וחתימה טובה בזה.

- ויש לומר אשר אצל החסידים ומקושרים הרי זהו השער אשר דרך בו עולים כל התורה ומצות למעלה ודרך בו נמשכים כל ההמשכות בגשמיות וברוחניות. ועל דרך מה שכתוב באגה"ק פ' ז', בענין שבדרך פרט יש לכל נר"נ אור פרטי וכו', עיי"ש. ועל פי זה יובן ג"כ קישור הענינים בסיום מכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ מיו"ד כסלו ה'תש"י הנדפס בקונטרס די"ט כסלו דהשתא, שמתחיל בשנה טובה בלימוד והפצת החסידות וכו' ותיכף לזה כותב "ואתם כל הנלוים עליכם תתברכו כלכם בכל הדרוש לכם בגשמיות וברוחניות".
