News has reached me here according to which great negligence is observed in various domains concerning you, which has an effect on your state of health. Moreover, one can additionally observe at first glance what results from this for others. I am surprised that this is so and you will understand the reason. One knows (note 1: See, on this subject, in particular, letter no. 8160), indeed, the requirement of our masters and leaders, that of having conduct allowing one to preserve one's health. Moreover, concrete practice allows one to verify the saying (note 2: See, on this subject, letters no. 6772 and 8564) of the Maggid (note 3: Of Mezeritch*) according to which "a small orifice in the physical body is a gaping hole in the soul." All of this is so evident (note 4: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the laws of physical and moral damages, of the Admur HaZaken*, at paragraph 4") that there is no need to say more. I await from you, by return mail, a positive response on all of this.

We are in a month whose central point is Purim*, a festival that emphasizes the importance of the body, as various texts establish, according to the words of the Turei Zahav*, Orach Chaim*, chapter 670, at paragraph 3, this is quite evident. לפלא שהגיעה לכאן שמועה, אשר גדלה העזובה אצלו בכו"כ ענינים ועד שפועל על הבריאות ולא עוד אלא שהפעולה ניכרת במבט ראשון גם להזולת, וסיבת הפליאה הנ"ל מובנת ע"פ הידוע דרישת רבותינו נשיאנו בנוגע לסדר הנהגה לשמירת הבריאות וכו' ובפרט שרואים במוחש כפתגם הרב המגיד, א לעכעל בגוף גשמי איז א גרויסע לאך בנשמה, ולרוב פשיטות הענין* אין צורך לאריכות, ואחכה למענה טוב ממנו בכל הנ"ל בדואר החוזר.

והרי נמצאים אנו בחדש שנקודתו פורים עניני הגוף כמבואר בכ"מ מיוסד על דברי הט"ז או"ח סי' עת"ר ס"ק ג' וק"ל.
