By the grace of Hashem,

To the young man, Chassid who fears Hashem,
Mr. Yechiel,[1]

I greet and bless you,

I duly received your letter from Erev Shabbos, and I read in it, with pleasure, that you have set a regular shiur in Chassidus* with the Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem, Rav Moshe Aharon.

You have no doubt read in the sichos* of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe, that there are three loves, dependent one upon the other: love of Hashem, love of the Torah, and love of one's fellow. It is therefore not enough to be concerned with one's own lot. One must, in addition, take an interest in others. You will surely know how to find the words capable of convincing your friends, so that they too study Chassidus*.

I went today to the resting place of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe, and I read your request for a blessing there.

I am convinced that you can, in this domain, exert a positive influence on others. You must, however, want it. If that is indeed the case, you will know success.

You will find enclosed the report of the talks held during Shabbos Bereishis,[2] and you will consult in it paragraphs 21 and 22, emphasizing the necessity of influencing others positively. You did not do this before 19 Kislev, and you will therefore make the effort to accomplish all of this for the Hilula* of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe, on the coming 10 Shevat.

קבלתי מכתבך מערב שבת קדש ובנועם קראתי אשר קבעת שיעור לימוד תורת החסידות עם הרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"נ וכו' מו"ה משה אהרן שי'.

בטח קראת בשיחות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ אשר ג' האהבות תלויות זו בזו, והן אהבת ה', אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל, ואי אפשר להסתפק במה שעינו טובה בשלו, וצריך להיות גם כן עינו טובה בשל אחרים. ובטח תמצא האותיות המתאימות להשפיע על חבריך שי' שיאחזו גם הם בלימוד תורת החסידות.

בהיותי היום על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ קראתי את הפ"נ שלך.

מובטחני שיש לך היכולת להשפיע על אחרים בענין הנ"ל אלא שצריך אתה לגלות רצונך בזה, ואם תעשה כן אז תצליח.

מוסג"פ הר"ד דשבת בראשית ותעיין שם בסעיפים כ"א וכ"ב השייכים לענין השפעה על אחרים וכיון שלא הספקת לעשות בזה עד י"ט כסלו, הרי בטח תשתדל למלא הענין עד יום היארצייט של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שהוא ביו"ד שבט הבע"ל.
