Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8372 — Faith & Bitachon
Volume 22 · Letter 155 · To: participants du neuvième repas annuel de l’association
By the grace of Hashem,
eve of Shabbos* Parshas Vayakhel*
"And, Moshe* assembled the entire congregation
of the children of Israel" 5722,
Brooklyn, New York,
To the participants of the ninth annual dinner of the association
of women and girls of Chabad* in Cleveland, Ohio,
may Hashem grant you long life,
I bless you and greet you,
One knows the saying of the Admur HaZaken*, founder of the Chabad* school, according to which one must live with the times, that is to say with the Sidra* of the week and the events reported therein. One can and one must draw from it a lesson for one's personal conduct. And, one must do so both for oneself and for other people. The Sidros* of these weeks relate, in detail, how the children of Israel, men and women, were commanded to build a Sanctuary. In this manner, Hashem specified, "I will dwell among them" (note 1: The Rebbe* underlines: "I will dwell among them" and "within them"), among them and within them.
One of the teachings we can draw from this, at the present time, is the following. Every Jewish home must, has the obligation to be the representation of the Sanctuary, in which the Divine Presence dwells, as it is said: "I will dwell among them" (note 2: Shemos* 25, 8). This Injunction was decreed to the entire congregation of the children of Israel, to all Jews and to each Jew, in all generations. Such are the objective and the purpose of the association of women and girls of Chabad*, which must introduce Jewish clarity and warmth into every Jewish home, as well as the Chassidic* feeling and vitality, so that one can justly say that the Divine Presence dwells in this home.
I convey to you my blessing and I express the wish that Hashem grant you success in the action described above. Be blessed, as well as the members of your family, to whom Hashem will grant long days and good years, in all your needs, material and spiritual. With my blessing that you give me good news,
