Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8373 — Tzedakah

By the grace of Hashem,

at the conclusion of the holy Shabbos* which

blesses the month of Adar Sheini* 5722,

Brooklyn,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Meir Simcha (note 1: Rav M. S. Chen, of Kfar Chabad*),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 22 Adar Rishon*, in which you announce to me that you have been designated by lottery to come visit here, at a good and fruitful time, during the month of deliverance (note 2: That of Nissan*), which approaches, for us and for all of Israel, for the good.

May Hashem cause you to have great success, from the beginning to the end, for the end is linked to the beginning. Moreover, you have been designated by this lottery and the merit of what is public, of those who participated in it, therefore comes to your aid. I add that these participants have already accomplished what they had to do, on their part. They therefore possess the superiority of action, over thought (note 3: Not having been designated by lot, their financial participation constitutes the entirety of the action expected of them). According to the formulation of the Zohar*, "action is the highest." Now, it has already been engaged and it exerts its effect.

May Hashem cause this to unfold with profound and true joy and enthusiasm. With my blessing that you give me good news,

הזמן ,היינו עם פרשת השבוע ,והענינים שהיא מספרת עליהם .אפשר
וצריך ללמוד מהם -בנוגע להנהגה אישית ומה שצריך לעשות עבור עצמו
ועבור הזולת.
בפרשיות של שבועות אלה מסופר ובפרטיות כיצד ציוו לכל בני
ישראל ,אנשים כנשים ,להקים משכן ,שאז אומר הקב״ה ,יהי׳ ושכנתי
בתוכם -אשכון ואהי׳ ביניהם ובהם.

אחת ההוראות מכך לגבינו עתה היא:
כל בית יהודי צריך להיות השתקפות של המשכן ,היכן שהשכינה
שורה - .ושכנתי בתוכם -ועל כך נצטוו כל עדת בני ישראל -כל
היהודים וכל יהודי בכל הדורות.
זהו הרי תפקיד ומטרת אגודת נשי ובנות חב״ד ,להחדיר בכל בית
יהודי ,אור וחמימות יהודיים ,מיוסדים על רגשות חסידיים וחיות ,כך
שבצדק יוכלו לומר שזהו בית שבו שורה השכינה.
הנני שולח את ברכתי ומביע את תפילתי)בקשתי( שהשם יתברך
יצליח אותן בעבודה האמורה לעיל,
ותתברכנה עם משפחותיהן שליט״א בכל מה שנחוץ בגשם וברוח.
