To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Moshe (note 1: Rav M. Goldstein, of Tel Aviv),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 27 Adar Rishon*, with what was enclosed therein. You are surely in contact with the organizations and institutions devoted to Kashrus* in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, above all with the Rabbanim* whose primary function this is. Here, one does not know the various regulations, in this matter. Nevertheless, it seems that the requirement of the Rabbanim*, in this matter, and their final decisions have legal force.

You are on the spot and it is therefore surely unnecessary to say more. May Hashem cause that "the Name of the Most High be praised by you and by us" (note 2: According to the expression of tractate Sotah* 40a), that He arouse a heavenly spirit to purify the hearts and the minds of whoever belongs to our unique people, whose laws are different from those of the other nations and which does not put into practice those of the others. In fact, Kashrus* is an important domain, in this matter (note 3: To distinguish the Jewish people from the other nations), as the early Sages, comparable to angels, specify. It is the foundation and the secret of the immutable existence of the Jews, in every place and at every era, how much more in ours, that of the heel of Moshiach* and in our Holy Land, "toward which the eyes of Hashem are always turned, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year." With my blessing to give good news of all of this,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מכ"ז אד"ר עם המצורף אליו,

ובודאי עומד בקישור עם שאר הארגונים והמוסדות המתעסקים בנוגע לענין הכשרות באה"ק ת"ו ולכל לראש עם הרבנים אשר זה צ"ל מתפקידם הראשי, ואף שכאן אין ידועים פרטי החוקים בזה אבל כנראה שתוקף רשמי לדרישת הרבנים בהאמור והחלטותיהם.

וכיון שנמצא על אתר, בודאי האריכות בהאמור אך למותר, ויהי רצון אשר מני' ומינייהו יתקלס שם עילאה ויערה רוח ממרום לטהר הלבבות והמוחות (אשר לענין הכשרות גורם חשוב בזה וכידוע דברי הראשונים כמלאכים בנדון) שכאו"א מעמנו אשר גוי אחד הוא ודתיהם שונות מכל עם ודתי הארץ אינם עושים, ודוקא זהו יסוד וסוד קיומם הנצחי בכל מקום ובכל זמן, עאכו"כ בתקופתנו דדרא דעקבתא דמשיחא ובאה"ק אשר עיני ה' אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה.
