To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem

and assumes a sacred mission (note 1: Teaching based on sacred values), Rav Yisrael (note 2: Rav I. Grossman, of Lod. See, regarding him, letter no. 7249),

I greet you and bless you,

You speak to me of a letter (note 3: Of approbation) regarding your book that will soon appear. I would truly have liked to compose one, even a brief one, for you and I am seeking a small free moment to do so. Nevertheless, I am surrounded by my numerous and intense occupations. Perhaps I will be able to write it after the festival of Pesach*, but one must truly ask whether it is justified to wait all this time. It is for you to make the decision. And, "just as one receives a reward..." (note 4: In asking, one receives a reward and likewise in withdrawing, according to the terms of tractate Pesachim* 22b. In this case, it was good to ask for this letter of approbation, but it is equally good to accept that it may not be given).
