To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Nachman (note 1: Rav N. Hartmann, of Ramat Gan),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 11 Nissan*. I thank you for your blessing, on the occasion of my birthday, 11 Nissan*. It has already been explained (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 8402) that whoever blesses is himself blessed, as it is said: "I will bless those who bless you," by the blessing of Hashem, Whose interest surpasses the capital. I read with pleasure, in your letter, that you were taking part in the activities of Chabad*. No doubt you will not be content with your own participation. You will also obtain that of your friends and your acquaintances, in every place where your influence extends. Indeed, the assurance has been given to us that words emanating from the heart penetrate the heart and act therein.

At a propitious moment, your name and all those you cite will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, in conformity with what you write to me. May Hashem cause you to give me good news of each of them. In fact, these days (note 3: Of Pesach*) are propitious, bringing true freedom, in all domains. The merit of your activity, in this domain and of the important accomplishments of your children to disseminate Judaism and what concerns it will protect each of you, in your needs. With my blessing for a joyous festival,

ת"ח על ברכתו ליום ההולדת י"א ניסן, וכבר מלתי' אמורה, אשר כל המברך יתברך וכמ"ש ואברכה מברכיך, וברכתו של הקב"ה הרי היא בתוספת מרובה על העיקר.

נעם לי לקרות במכתבו מהשתתפותו בעניני חב"ד, ובודאי לא יסתפק בהשתתפות שלו, כי אם יזכה בזה גם את ידידיו ומכריו בכל מקום שידו מגעת, והרי הובטחנו דברים היוצאים מן הלב נכנסים אל הלב ופועלים פעולתם.

בעת רצון יזכירוהו וכל שכותב אודותם, על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבו. ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב מכאו"א מהם.

והרי הימים ימי סגולה, חירות אמיתי בכל הפרטים.

וזכות פעולתו בהאמור וזכות פעולות הנעלות של בניו שי' בהפצת היהדות ועניני', תעמוד לכאו"א מהם בהמצטרך.
