I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter, in which you describe your state of health and, briefly, what you have suffered these last years, the treatments you have undergone. Your letter does not clearly indicate whether you have consulted great specialists in this matter, but this has surely been the case. Indeed, there are several in Europe. For an affliction such as the one you describe, all the more so since there is a doubt in this matter, one must endeavor to contact a great specialist.

Nevertheless, it is surprising that the illness has not been clearly diagnosed until now, that it is not known what it is and how to treat it. Your letter seems to indicate that all of this has been dragging on for years. It is certain that you must have had several X-rays taken. Of course, my purpose is not to ask questions, but rather to clarify the present situation. It would be good to seek the greatest specialist in this matter. You will send him the correspondence of the doctors who have treated you and, more generally, all the necessary information. You will ask his opinion and it would even be good to consult him.

May Hashem, Who heals all flesh and accomplishes wonders, grant you a speedy recovery, through the intermediary of the appropriate physician and the adapted treatment. Is it conceivable that something should be impossible for Hashem? The merit of the education you give your children, an education based on sacred values, will protect you in this matter, as well as all your other accomplishments. With my blessing to give good news of all this, as well as of your activity destined to disseminate traditional Judaism,

במענה למכתבו בו כותב אודות מצד בריאותו וראשי פרקים בהמיחוש שלו משך שנים האחרונות, בצירוף הטפולים וכו' שעבר.

ואינו ברור ממכתבו, אף שבטח כן הוא, ששואל בדעת רופאים גדולים במקצוע, והרי כמה מהם נמצאים באירופא, ובמיחוש כמו שמתארו, ובפרט שהי' ספק בזה, הרי כדאית ההשתדלות להתקשר עם מומחה גדול דוקא.

לאידך גיסא - אינו מובן איך זה עד עתה לא קבעו בבירור המיחוש; ענינו ואופן טפולו, והרי נמשך זה, כנראה ממכתבו כמה שנים ובודאי עשו כמה צלומים.

פשוט, שלא באתי לשאול שאלות, אלא לעורר עכ"פ בנוגע להווה, שכדאי לחקור מי הוא המומחה ביותר במקצוע כהנ"ל, ולשלוח לו מכתבי הרופאים שטפלו ובכלל הידיעות שצריך לדעת אותם, ולשאול עצתו בכלל וכן הכדאי לבקרו.

ויהי רצון מהשי"ת הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות, שתהי' רפו"ק ע"י רופא שמתאים וטפול שיתאים, והממנו - השי"ת - יפלא כל דבר.

וזכות החינוך שנותן לילדיו שי', חינוך על טהרת הקדש, תעמוד לו בהאמור בתוככי כללות עניניו.
