By the grace of Hashem,

13 Sivan* 5722,

To the great Rav, distinguished and agreeable Chassid* who

fears Hashem and has good conduct, Rav Yisrael,

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 10 Sivan*, requesting a blessing for a child, in the name of someone who resides in your city. At a propitious moment, his name will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us.

Relying on the affirmation of our Sages (note 1: In tractate Makkos* 23a) according to which one advises eagerness only to those who naturally possess this quality, I permit myself to encourage you, as well as those who listen to you, for the construction, currently in progress, of the Yeshivah* of Kiryat Gat (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 8289). No doubt it is absolutely unnecessary to emphasize its importance to you. I would only like to remind you that with the arrival of several new immigrants, this importance will be widely increased. One must therefore hasten to complete the construction of this building in order to integrate the greatest possible number of young immigrants. This is current and their integration must take place immediately after their arrival, failing which they could settle in places that are not at all desirable. You must understand what I mean.

As our Sages have informed us (note 3: In the Midrash Tanchuma*, Parshas Pinchas*, chapter 14), "the Holy One, blessed be He, demands only according to their strengths" (note 4: Those which the Jews possess). When the necessity is increased, it is therefore certain that the possibilities and the means are broadened accordingly. With my respects and my blessing to give me good news of all this,

ובעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק. מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע,

ונשען על מאמר רז"ל אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין ארשה לעצמי לעודדו את כת"ר וכל הנשמעים לקולו בנוגע לבנין הישיבה ההולכת ונבנית בקרית גת אשר גודל חשיבות הענין בודאי אין צריך אריכות כלל וכלל, ולא באתי אלא להדגיש אשר בקישור עם ביאתם של כמה עולים חדשים הרי החשיבות גדולה פי כמה וגם הזריזות בהקמת הבנין בשביל לקלוט המספר הכי גדול שבאפשרי מהנוער העולה, שהרי זהו ענין שהזמן גרמא, שמוכרחת להיות הקליטה בסמיכות לעליתם, כי בל"ה עלולים להקלט במקומות אינם רצוים כלל, וד"ל.

וע"פ הודעת חז"ל שאין הקב"ה מבקש אלא לפי כחן בודאי שכשמתוסף בהכרח נתוסף ג"כ בהאפשריות והיכולת.
