By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of this Sunday, in which you raise the question of your housing (note 1: See, on this subject, letter no. 8277), after your marriage, at a good and fruitful time. In a general manner, we heard from my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, leader of Israel, that, according to various teachings of our Sages, one must take into account the opinion of the wife, mistress of the house, in choosing the location of this house, as well as the house itself. Furthermore, one of the reasons for this is the situation of the surroundings, for "associations do much" (note 2: According to tractate Sotah* 7a). Taking these elements into account, it would be good to settle in Kfar Chabad*. If this is absolutely impossible, for any reason, you will choose, from all the other proposals, the one that is most fitting, by virtue of these criteria.

I know your father, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Shlita*. I have not met him, but we have corresponded. I therefore have good hope that you have a fixed time for the study of the profound dimension of the Torah*, which, in our generation, has been revealed through Chassidus*. This study will be daily and you will devote more time to it on the Shabbos* which is holy to Hashem, as the Arizal* emphasizes, who lives on. If at all times and in every place, this has been a necessity, how much more is this the case in our era and in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, as it is said: "The eyes of Hashem your Elokim* are always turned toward it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year." במענה למכתבו מיום הראשון, בו כותב אודות שאלת הדירה לאחרי החתונה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת.

ובכלל שמענו כ"פ מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל, מיוסד על מאמרי רז"ל בכ"מ, אשר בנוגע למקום הדירה והדירה עצמה, יש להתחשב בדעת האשה עקרת הבית, ובפרט כשאחד הטעמים הוא אופי הסביבה שנשים רגישות יותר להשפעת הסביבה והרבה חברות עושה, ומטעמים אלו מהנכון להתישב בכפר חב"ד, ובאם אי אפשרי הדבר בשום אופן מאיזה טעמים שיהיו, אזי משאר האפשריות לבחור מתאים לנקודה האמורה.

בידעי, אף כי רק [ע"י] מכתבים ולא פא"פ את אביו הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ שליט"א, תקותי חזקה שיש לו קביעות עתים בלימוד פנימיות התורה שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, קביעות בכל יום ובהוספה ביום השבת אשר קדש הוא לה' וכדברי האריז"ל החי בזה, ואם בכל הזמנים ובכל המקומות הי' הכרח בזה עאכו"כ בתקופתנו ובאה"ק ת"ו אשר ככתוב עיני ה' אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה.
