To Mr. Reuven (note 1: Mr. R. Einhorn, of Haifa),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter in which you speak to me of the republication of the books of your ancestors. You ask me what I think of it. Regarding these books themselves, I have not consulted them. One should therefore take counsel from specialists in this matter, located near you, who will be able to examine them. Furthermore, the institutions that devote themselves to this (note 2: To the publication of books), without doubt, also know whether these books and their author have a connection with the European countries that suffered the last war. One can also verify this with the committee for payment and compensation (note 3: For the losses suffered due to the Nazis). In certain cases, the latter can participate in the publication costs. Likewise, there are, in the Holy Land, some institutions that help with the publication of sacred books. No doubt you will be able to verify the details of all this also with the Rabbanim* and the rectors of the Yeshivos*.

To follow up on the end of your letter, your name will be mentioned, at a propitious moment, near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, so that you obtain the satisfaction of the wishes of your heart, on the points you enumerate. But, no doubt you also intervene by way of natural means. Indeed, a man must do all that is in his power for this and this is the receptacle that allows him to put into practice the terms of the verse: "Hashem your Elokim* will bless you in all that you do." Everything is an effect of divine Providence and I therefore have the obligation, as well as the merit, of emphasizing to you the necessity, the personal obligation to fix a time for the study of the profound dimension of the Torah*, which, in our era, has been revealed through Chassidus*. This study will be daily and increased during the Shabbos* which is holy to Hashem. If, at all times and in every place, it has been a necessity, how much more is this the case in our days, especially in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, "toward which always are turned the eyes of Hashem, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year." With my blessing to give me good news of all this,

שלום וברכה!

במענה למכתבו בו כותב אודות הו"ל מחדש ספרי אבותיו, ושואל עצה בזה.

והנה בנוגע לעצם הספרים, כיון שלא ראיתים ובכלל - יש להתייעץ עם מומחים בכגון זה מהנמצאים בסביבתו ויראו הספרים

בנוגע למוסדות המתעסקים בכזה, בטח גם להם ידוע שבאם יש להספרים ומחברם שייכות למדינות אירופא, שסבלו במלחמה האחרונה, יש מקום לברר אצל ועד השלומין והפיצוים, שבמקרים מסוימים משתתפים בהוצאות הכנה לדפוס וכו', כן באה"ק ת"ו נמצאים איזה מוסדות המסייעים בהוצאות ספרי קודש, ובודאי יוכלו לברר הפרטים בזה ג"כ מרבנים וראשי ישיבות וכו'.

בהמשך לסיום מכתבו, בעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע למילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה בהענינים אודותם כותב, בודאי עושים גם בדרך הטבע כי הרי על האדם לעשות התלוי בו בדרך הטבע, וזהו כלי לקיום מ"ש וברכך ה"א בכל אשר תעשה.

ומאחר שהכל בהשגחה פרטית עלי החובה (והזכות) לעוררו על ההכרח וחובת גברא בקביעות עתים גם בלימוד פנימיות התורה שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, קביעות בכל יום ובהוספה ביום השבת אשר קדש הוא לה', שבאם בכל הזמנים ובכל המקומות הי' הכרח בזה עאכו"כ בתקופתנו ובאה"ק ת"ו ביחוד אשר כמ"ש עיני ה' אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה.
