To the distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and faithfully discharges
his task, Rav Y. HaCohen,[1]

I greet and bless you,

I duly received your two letters of 18 Kislev and of Wednesday of Chanukah. My response was delayed because of my many occupations, and especially because, in the meantime, we were able to converse on the telephone.

In any event, I would like to remind you here once again that I mentioned your name on 19 Kislev and on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Teves at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe. As we agreed when you were here, you will be a soldier of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe, who, in exchange, will take charge of the satisfaction of all your needs — material and spiritual — as well as those of your family. You will prepare ample vessels to permit the full realization of his blessings.

I hope that you will very soon be able to announce good news to me, to tell me that the blessings of my father-in-law, the Frierdiker Rebbe, have been realized.

I am sending you with the present the kuntres* edited for the occasion of Chanukah, and the letter that I attached to it.[2] They appear with delay, for technical reasons, but the points evoked in them remain timely throughout the year.

I await good news from you, and address my blessing to you and to all the members of your family,

אך בכל אופן רצוני לציין כאן שוב ,שהזכרתי אותו בי״ט כסלו ובערב

ראש חודש טבת על ציון כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר הכ״מ .לפי מה שדברנו בהיותו

כאן ,הוא יהי׳ חייל של הרבי כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר הכ״מ ,או אז הרבי יקח על

עצמו את הדאגה לענינים שהוא נהר״י[ ובני ביתו שיחיו צריכים בגשמיות

וברוחניות ,והוא נהר״י[ יכין כלים רחבים לקבל אותם במילואם .תקותי

שבקרוב יוכל לבשר בשורות טובות שהברכות של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר הכ״מ

התקיימו . . .

הנני מצרף כאן את הקונטרס לחנוכה וכן גם את מכתבי הכללי ,הגם

שהם התאחרו בשל סיבות טכניות ,אך הענינים המדוברים שם נוגעים לכל
