Greetings and blessings,

In reply to your letter written at the conclusion of Shabbos Vayigash, in which you tell me that your wife is apparently expecting a child, that everything is going well, baruch Hashem*, but that she is weak.

For the time being, she should conceal her condition to the greatest extent possible, and Hashem will make everything go well in due time. She undoubtedly consults a specialist doctor from time to time and follows his prescriptions.

Without doubt, you will inform me regularly that she is in good health and that she is well.

You also tell me that you are now the mashgiach* of studies for nigleh*, the revealed part of Torah, at Yeshivas* Lubavitch. May Hashem grant that you exert a positive influence on the talmidim*. It has always been established that this position certainly entails verifying the talmidim's progress in this discipline of Torah, but that it can be properly assumed only when it also involves conduct based on Chassidus*.

May Hashem grant that each of us fully assume the mission entrusted to him in this world, that we merit to be pointed out by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, who will say: "These are the fruits I cultivated."

You surely observe the studies of Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*. Likewise, your wife should give tzedaka*, into a Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess pushka*, before lighting the Shabbos* candles.

במענה על מכתבו ממוצאי ש"ק ויגש המודיע אשר כפי הנראה נתעברה זוגתו תחי' וב"ה הכל כשורה, אך היא חלושה,

הנה לע"ע תעלים הדבר כמה שתוכל, ויתן השי"ת שיהי' הכל כשורה ובעתו. ובטח מבקרת היא מזמן לזמן אצל רופא מומחה וממלאת אחרי הוראתו.

ובטח יודיע ג"כ לכאן מזמן לזמן ע"ד בריאותה הטוב שמרגשת עצמה כשורה.

עוד מודיע שהוא עתה המשגיח על למוד הנגלה בהאולם דת"ת, ויהי רצון שתהי' השפעתו על התלמידים לטובה ולברכה, וידוע מאז, שאף שהמשגיח בנגלה צריך לדקדק על התלמידים בלימוד הנגלה, אבל כדי שיהי' זה בהצלחה באופן המתאים צריך הוא לדקדק על עצמו בעניני דא"ח.

והשי"ת יזכנו את כל אחד ואחד מאתנו למלאות שליחותנו בעלמא דין ולזכות לזה אשר כ"ק מו"ח [אדמו"ר] הכ"מ יוכל להורות עלינו ולומר: ראו גדולים שגדלתי.

בודאי שומר השיעורים דחת"ת וזוג' תי' נותנת לצדקת רמבעה"נ לפני הדה"נ.
