By the grace of Hashem,

at the conclusion of the holy Shabbos*,

Rosh Chodesh* Shevat* 5723,

To the women and young girls of Chabad*, grouping of

Tel Aviv, may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I received with pleasure your letter of the 24th of Teves*, date of the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the passing, Hilula* of the Admur HaZaken*, author of the Tanya* and the Shulchan Aruch*. May Hashem therefore cause you to give me good news, always and every day, of the broadening of your sacred activities, both quantitative and qualitative. Furthermore, one knows the words of the Admur HaZaken*, whose Hilula* we celebrate, about what the women and young girls of Israel must accomplish, in each generation.

This is what the holy talks and the memoirs of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, chief of Israel, relate, from which one can deduce that in these generations of the heel of Moshiach* (note 1: Just before his coming), the importance of such accomplishments is even greater, as well as its necessity. As our Sages teach (note 2: In the Midrash* Bamidbar Rabbah*, chapter 21, at paragraph 22), the Holy One, blessed be He, demands only in accordance with the forces that He grants from the outset. It is therefore certain that one possesses all the means necessary to carry out this mission fully.

May Hashem cause you to accomplish all of this in good health, in joy and enthusiasm, as the teaching of Chassidus* advocates. With my blessing of success in your sacred mission, the dissemination of the wellsprings (note 3: Of Chassidus*), within that of traditional Judaism, as well as to give me good news of all this,

נעם לי לקבל מכתבן מכ"ד טבת, יום שנת המאה וחמשים להסתלקות הילולא של כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן, בעל התניא והשו"ע.

ויהי רצון שתמיד כל הימים תבשרנה טוב מהתרחבות פעולותיהן בקדש הן בכמות והן באיכות ובפרט ע"פ הידוע דברי רבנו הזקן בעל ההילולא בנוגע לפעולות נשי ובנות ישראל בכל הדורות,

כמסופר בשיחות הק' ובזכרונות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל,

שמהם מובן אשר בדורות עקבתא דמשיחא גדולה עוד יותר חשיבות פעולותיהן וגם ההכרח בזה.

וע"פ הוראת חכמנו ז"ל שאין הקב"ה מבקש אלא לפי הכח שנותן מראש, ובודאי ישנה אפשריות מלאה למלאות התפקיד האמור

ויהי רצון שתעשינה בכל זה מתוך בריאות הנכונה שמחה וטוב לבב, כהוראת תורת החסידות בכל כגון זה.
