Hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*,

150th Hilula* of the Admur HaZaken*,

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received the letter (note 1: This letter was addressed to several people. See the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 11, at page 233). We are at the date of the Hilula* of my father-in-law, chief of Israel, and may Hashem therefore cause this propitious day (note 2: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the letter of the Admur HaZaken*, upon his return from Petersburg, since this year is the one hundred and fiftieth since his passing, which says: 'Here is what one must know. It is on the day of the passing of our great master, the Maggid*, an important Hilula*, that I was liberated.' This is explained at length in the letter of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, appearing in the Sefer HaMaamarim Kuntresim*, volume 2, at pages 806 and 403b," as well as in the Igros Kodesh* of the Rebbe* Rayatz*, volume 4, letter no. 990, the letter of the Admur HaZaken* also appearing in the Igros Kodesh* of the Admur HaZaken*, volume 1, letter no. 38) to influence each one (note 3: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the laws of the study of the Torah*, of the Admur HaZaken*, at the end of chapter 1 and the laws of the morning blessings, at the end of chapter 47") in order to act (note 4: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "The Tzemach Tzedek* says: We are the workers of the day, our work is to make everything luminous, as the Likkutei Dibburim* explains, at page 600") in each of the three domains that are the Torah*, the service of Hashem of prayer, and good deeds, in conformity with the teaching of him whose Hilula* we celebrate, through actions penetrated with light (note 5: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the Tanya*, at chapter 48 which distinguishes, within the light, 'the interior' and 'the interior of the interior.' Furthermore, tractate Kesubos* 111b says: 'The light of the Torah* vivifies him'"), with vitality and Chassidic* enthusiasm (note 6: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "See the beginning of the Kuntres HaHispaalus*, of the Admur HaEmtzai*, who cites first vitality, then emotion").

It is quite evident that the profound idea of these actions is the dissemination of the wellsprings (note 7: Of Chassidus*) to the outside (note 8: The Rebbe* notes, at the bottom of the page: "For these wellsprings are the soul of the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, according to the affirmation of the Zohar*, volume 3, at page 152a"). It is in this way that one can obtain the accomplishment of the promise that is expressed in the holy epistle of the Baal Shem Tov*, according to which, when his wellsprings would spread to the outside, "the master will come," that is to say the king Moshiach*, very soon and in our days, Amen, may it be so. ובעמדנו ביום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל, הנה יהי רצון שיום סגולה זה ישפיע על כל אחד ואחת לפעול בכל אחד משלשת הקוים דתורה עבודה (תפלה) וגמ"ח כפי אשר הורה בעל ההילולא, פעולות חדורות אור וחיות והתלהבות חסידותים,

ומובן שבפעולות אלו - נקודה הפנימית הפצת המעינות חוצה.

והרי זוהי הדרך לקיום היעוד אשר באגה"ק של כ"ק הבעש"ט אשר לכשיפוצו מעינותיו חוצה - קאתי מר דא מלכא משיחא,

במהרה בימינו אכי"ר.
