By the grace of Hashem,

To the attention of the members of the union of Shochatim* of

Jaffa - Tel Aviv, may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of the 18th of Teves* and I thank you for it. I also obtained your greetings, through the intermediary of a member of your union, the Rav and Shochet*, Rav Yaakov Chaim Pialkov. In addition to my personal greetings, which your delegate will surely transmit to you, as well as the points that were evoked during the Chassidic* gathering, I address to you, by the present, my warm thanks for the satisfaction that the visit of your delegate procured me. May Hashem cause each one of us to always bring pleasure to our Father Who is in heaven, in accordance with the two kinds of pleasure that one can cause Him, as the holy Tanya* explains, at chapter 27 (note 1: As it is said: "There are two forms of satisfaction for Hashem, above. The first results from the total suppression of 'the other side,' the transformation of bitterness into sweetness, of darkness into light, by the Tzaddikim*. The second manifests when one repels 'the other side,' while it still retains all its force, its power, and rises up like an eagle").

The visit here is linked to the day of the Hilula* of the Admur HaZaken*, one hundred and fifty years after his passing, as well as to that of the Hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*. May Hashem therefore cause these days to motivate each one, within all of Israel, in order to lead a concrete action. According to the formulation of the Admur HaZaken*, in his well-known letter, "we will follow the straight path that he traced for us by his own ways and we will do so for eternity," as Igeres HaKodesh* reports, at chapter 27. What has just been said is linked to the promise, which is expressed in tractate Sukkah* 52a, according to which: "the Holy One, blessed be He, summons (note 2: The Rebbe* underlines the words: "summons" and "performs the Shechitah*") the evil inclination and He performs the Shechitah* upon it," thus arousing these two pleasures. The accomplishment of this promise will thereby be all the more rapid. May Hashem cause it to be so very soon and in our days, with the coming of our righteous Moshiach*. הנני לאשר בת"ח קבלת מכתבם מי"ח טבת, יחד עם הפ"ש על ידי חבר אגודתם הרב השו"ב ר' יעקב חיים שי' פיאלקוב.

ובהוספה על הפ"ש אישית שבודאי ימסור לכ' בא-כוחם יחד עם הנקודות שנדברו בשעת ההתועדות, אביע בזה תודתי החמה בעד הקורת רוח שגרם לי ביקור בא כוחם, ויהי רצון שכל אחד ואחד מאתנו יתמיד לגרום נחת רוח לאבינו שבשמים, בשני מיני נח"ר לפניו ית' למעלה, כמבואר בספר תניא קדישא (פרק כ"ז).

כיון שהביקור כאן הי' קשור עם יום ההילולא של כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן במלאות ק"נ שנה להסתלקותו, ועם יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, יהי רצון שימי זכרון אלו יעוררו את כל אחד ואחד בתוככי כלל ישראל למעשים בפועל, ובסגנון כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן באגרת הידועה שלו, אשר "נלך בדרך ישרה אשר הורנו מדרכיו ונלכה באורחותיו נס"ו" (אגה"ק כ"ז). והרי האמור מקושר הוא ומקרב את היעוד המקווה (סוכה נב, א) דהקב"ה מביאו ליצה"ר ושוחטו (ב' נח"ר) ויה"ר שיקויים במהרה בימינו בביאת משיח צדקנו.
