To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself
to communal needs, the Rav Tzvi Aryeh (note 1: Rav T. A. Begun, of Sao Paulo),
I greet you and bless you,
You speak to me of an organization for your studies (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 8244). Now, our Sages say (note 3: In tractate Avodah Zarah* 19a): "according to what one desires." The common point to all the themes is the following. One will choose a Talmudic tractate, to participate in the distribution that is made of it (note 4: Among the members of the community, on the 19th of Kislev*, in order to complete its study during the course of the year), which one will study without going into depth, and one will study in depth another tractate or the writings of the Decisors. You will also have an in-depth study of Chassidus*. The studies without going into depth will be daily, those that are in-depth will take place at least once every three days. On this subject, you will also consult the talk of the 18th of Elul* 5722 (note 5: Published in the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 9, from page 343).
