Greetings and blessings,

In reply to your letter of the eighth day of Chanukah. I was pleased to learn that you have set aside time for the study of Torah, but you must also study Chassidus*. The propitious time for this is Monday, Thursday, and Shabbos*, so that three days do not pass without one having access to the inner teaching of Torah.

And whoever intensifies this study will multiply the blessings he receives. You are surely aware that, according to various texts, a shochet* must have an irreproachable fear of Hashem. You will consult, in this regard, the responsa of the Tzemach Tzedek, Yoreh De'ah section, chapter 12.

You do well to avoid all fatigue when you go to your work, the shechita*. May Hashem grant that everything go well, and that you inform me of good news regarding everything that pertains to you in general, and in particular, that you have had a child.

שלום וברכה!

במענה על מכתבו מח' חנוכה, נהניתי לשמוע מהקביעות עתים שיש לו בתורה, אבל צריך להוסיף ג"כ קביעות עתים בתורת החסידות, וזמן המתאים לזה הוא לכה"פ ביום ב' וה' ושבת קדש, שלא יעבור ג' ימים בלא פנימיות התורה, וכל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, ובטח ידוע לו מהכתוב בכמה מקומות אשר שו"ב צריך להיות ירא שמים ביותר (ועייג"כ שו"ת צ"צ חיו"ד סי"ב).

טוב מאד שנשמר הוא מעייפות כשצריך ללכת למלאכתו, מלאכת הזביחה, ויה"ר שיהי' הכל כשורה ויוכל לבשר בשורות טובות מעניניו בכלל, ושנפקדו בזרעא חייא וקיימא בפרט.
