Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8622 — Tzedakah

By the grace of Hashem,

To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

the Rav Yehudah Leib (note 1: Rav Y. L. Gloiberman, of Yerushalayim*),

I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter (note 2: See the Haggadah* of Pesach* of the Rebbe*, edition of 5751, volume 2, at page 554) of the 29th of Nissan*, eve of the Rosh Chodesh* of radiance (note 3: That of Iyar*). At a propitious moment, all those you cite will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, in conformity with what you write to me. May Hashem cause you to announce good news to me, on this subject.

We have, indeed, just lived "the time of our freedom" (note 4: The festival of Pesach*), which delivers from all that constitutes an obstacle. With my blessing in order to give me good news,

You write to me about the three groups that were constituted to offer the sacrifice of Pesach*. Now, one can ask whether, in the future world, it will still be offered in three groups. Indeed, one practices in this manner due to the doubt (note 5: Must the three groups present their sacrifices simultaneously or one after the other), as tractate Pesachim* 64b explains. And, it is possible that the doubt will then be lifted, that the groups will then carry out the sacrifice conjointly. Then, the group called "lazy" (note 6: The third) will surely be suppressed.
